Whether you are wanting to get certified for the first time or need to have your certification renewed, the Menahga Community Ed. will be offering a CPR course.

When: January 14th from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Where: High School Media Center

Cost: $4.00 for the certification card. Payment can be made the night of the course.

Participants: 16 years old and older.

Instructor:  Troy Mayer or a member of the Menahga EMT.

Are you approaching retirement age, or have you retired already? Do you have questions about Social Security such as When and how do I apply for benefits?  When is the “right” time to apply for Social Security? Where is the local Social Security Administration Office?

Social Security, Timing is Everything: Social Security is a vital income source for many retirees. But it can be a confusing topic and making the most of it can have a lot to do with timing it right. This workshop can help you get answers to your questions and learn what Social Security can mean for you.

• Complete Program Cost for combined Classroom & Behind the Wheel: $280


Cost for Classroom Only: $50

Students are expected to complete 10 classes at 3 hours each for a total of 30 hours (If a student misses any part of a class (maximum of 3 hours allowed) they will need to make it up on the make-up day at an additional cost of $10 per hour). Minimum of 20 students required to offer the course and a max of 30. Students that are 14 years of age or older may sign up to take the course. Enrolled students will be given priority by age when signing up for the course.

Behind the Wheel

Cost for Behind the Wheel Only: $250

Students are expected to complete behind the wheel, consisting of 6 hours driving and 6 hours observing.  Prior to driving, a student must have passed the permit test.


Parent Night:  NO COST

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend a 1 ½ hour parent meeting. Parents that attend will be credited 10 hours log time for their student’s behind the wheel.  Meeting dates to be determined.
