Calling all 7-12th grades!!  The Menahga Dollars for Scholars Walk-A-Thon will be held on Wednesday, February 11th during 6th & 7th hours.  Yep, you can get out of class to be a part of our first ever “Boot Bash” by walking the track!  To participate you must raise $10.00 in pledges, create a one of a kind winter outfit, and walk the track!  There will be races, prizes for the best outfit, prizes for the most money raised, and guaranteed fun!!  If you raise $50.00 or more you receive a free T-Shirt!  You will also get a chance to vote for a high school teacher to be dressed up walking the track!  Jars will be put out the week before and the teacher with the most money in their jar will be dressed up walking with you!!  So get your pledge sheets from the High School office and start raising money for your college education (and get out of class)!!  All pledges must be turned into the H.S. office by Friday, February 6th by 3:00 p.m. to receive your pass out of class.  Absolutely NO exceptions!!  100% of the money raised goes into the Menahga Scholarship fund!!  We hope to see you all out there!!!!

To all students who signed up to meet with Mr Sams on the 3rd of February please go to the office and sign up for a different meeting date and time. He will not be at the school that afternoon. For those that need to complete please get the rest of the MCIS filled out in your accounts and schedule a time to meet and ensure that the form is complete so we can get your plans put into your student files. For those that have not completed their initial appointment with Mr Sams please get it scheduled as soon as possible.

Students, the High School Media Center will be closed 1st & 6th periods today. Please do not ask your teachers, paras or subs for a pass to the media center.

Worth repeating:

10th and 11th grade students are invited to apply for the Itasca-Mantrap Youth Tour of Washington DC this summer. Applications are available in the office.

Attention JUNIORS: The Minnesota Association of Townships has a scholarship just for you. Application and scholarship details are available in the high school office.

Reminder to all 10th to 12th grade students to get signed up to either start your personal learning plan or getting it completed with Mr Sams. It is very important as well as mandatory that you get your appointments scheduled to get this process started and completed. With or without his assistance you must have this completed. The goal is to have all personal learning plans completed prior to the end of April. That may seem like a long time from now but Mr Sams is only here for a day and a half each week.
